Exzolt Fluralaner Poultry Red Mite Treatment

Exzolt by MSD Animal Health is a veterinary solution containing Fluralaner, specially developed for the treatment of red mite infestations (Dermanyssus gallinae) in chickens

Administered through drinking water, Exzolt works systemically by eliminating mites after they feed on the treated birds. It provides an effective approach to controlling poultry red mites, helping protect flock health, welfare and productivity.

Active Ingredient

• Fluralaner: 10 mg/ml.

Administration

For administration through drinking water.
The dose is 0.5 mg of fluralaner per kg of body weight, equivalent to 0.05 ml of solution per kg of body weight, administered twice, with an interval of 7 days between treatments.

The treatment must be administered twice to achieve a complete therapeutic effect.
If another treatment is necessary, the interval between two treatments must be at least 3 months.

The daily quantity of product required is calculated using the total body weight (kg) of all chickens to be treated.

Calculation formula:
Product volume (ml) = Number of chickens × Average chicken weight (kg) × 0.05 ml.
For example, 500 ml of product can treat 10,000 kg of body weight (e.g. 5,000 chickens weighing 2 kg each) per treatment administration.
